Online and in-person counselling in British Columbia
Most people do not arrive in counselling with one neat problem.
They arrive with a life: history, relationships, coping, contradictions, grief, responsibility, and something that is no longer working.
We might need to get the distress down, understand where a pattern came from, or work out what needs to change next. Often, it is all three.
I am warm, direct, curious, and hard to shock. I will listen carefully, but I will not sit silently and expect you to make every connection yourself. You do not need the perfect language. Bring what you have.

What we might be working with.
You do not need to sort your life into one category before reaching out. These are some of the areas I work with. They overlap because people do.
Trauma therapy and counselling
You may understand exactly what happened and still be dealing with what it left behind. We can work with the reactions, beliefs, relationships, and ways of protecting yourself that no longer fit the life you are trying to live.

You may be having the same fight in different forms, living around something neither of you knows how to raise, dealing with damaged trust, or trying to decide whether the relationship can and should continue.

The work can change what you notice, what you carry, and what feels safe to say. Privacy, career concerns, identity, relationships, anger, sleep, critical incidents, and cumulative exposure can all be part of the room.

Grief is not always clean, uncomplicated, or limited to missing someone. You may be carrying guilt, anger, relief, resentment, unfinished business, or a loss other people do not recognise. We can make room for the relationship and the loss as they actually were.

Harm, responsibility, victimization, offending, stigma, systems, and reintegration may all be part of the story. I work comfortably with people on either side of that fence.

You do not need to know how to explain all of it.
A free 20-minute fit check gives us enough time to talk briefly about what is happening, what you are looking for, and whether I am likely to be useful.
